Mission and Vision

Modern organisations are firmly faced with the dilemmas of our complex society and the limitations of their own organisation. The dilemmas which arose from the credit crunch in the autumn of 2008 demand entrepreneurship based on new principles and an increased ability to respond.

They also demand solutions which enable a fast restructuring of organisations and provide complete and timely insight into the organisation’s performance and risk profile.

Organisations are aware of the complexity of IT and are looking not just for reliability, but also for flexibility and personal commitment. Inter Access focuses on this group of medium-sized and large organisations, both in the public sector and the private sector, by combining expertise with an emphasis on solutions.

Inter Access has the talent to make complex cases look simple and uncomplicated, with an eye for reality and social awareness. With in-depth knowledge of technology and a keen insight into the client’s context, all of which in close cooperation with the client. Innovatively and pragmatically. During the design, realisation, transition and management of the new information supply.

With 1100 staff members in the Netherlands and Belgium, Inter Access has been the leading IT service provider for nearly 30 years for organisations looking for reliability as well as flexibility.

The ability to change

According to Inter Access, ‘the ability to change’ requires a vision on the impact of technology on society and its role in setting up organisations and corporate processes. The ability to change is, however, limited by the rigidity of the structure of the organisation, the structure of processes/applications and the infrastructure. According to Inter Access, an effective business agility approach integrally addresses all structures.

From organisation structure to virtual knowledge organisation

By separating the knowledge worker from time, place and process, he/she can use his/her digital workplace to communicate throughout the organisation (for example, on a project basis) and thus contribute to the organisation’s objectives. The basis is the storage and accessibility of structured and unstructured information using portals and Enterprise Control Management (ECM) solutions from leading parties.

From corporate processes and applications to business services

Using a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), applications are linked up in a much more clever way via so-called web services. This way, IT facilitates the need to be able to introduce or change corporate processes quicker, for example, processing specifications for a new product in various applications and various corporate processes. This leads to an increased ability to change and also protects previous investments in current applications.

From a dedicated infrastructure to Adaptive IT

Virtualisation of infrastructure components disconnects applications from the infrastructure. The infrastructure is set up in such a way that the application only uses the components which are needed at the time. Virtualisation can be applied to servers, but also to storage, the network, the operating system and other infrastructure components. Virtualisation contributes to the ability to change and results in radical cost reduction. The term Adaptive IT is used to refer to an infrastructure like that.
