Schiphol, Hilversum, 20 January 2009 – Microsoft has included IT service provider Inter Access in its Inner Circle programme for Application Lifecycle Management (ALM). Inter Access is now one of five Dutch companies who participate in this programme. In the EMEA region, only thirty parties have joined this exclusive partnership.
Inter Access has been selected for the programme based on their High-Performance Workplace for Development (HPW4D) methodology. This unique methodology provides a development line which is completely based on Microsoft technology, combined with the most important components in Inter Access’ High-Performance Workplace (HPW) theme. HPW4D provides a specific interpretation of and insight into Application Lifecycle Management. The methodology supports ALM based on six aspects, such as reducing development costs, which can help save costs by up to 26%. Additional advantages for an enterprise are a short training period and low investment costs. This is achieved by using standard tooling, proven practices, such as the Microsoft Value-Up methodology, and Inter Access’ extensive experience in software development.
In actual practice, this participation means that Inter Access contributes to the interpretation of ALM in various ways. Microsoft will, for example, involve Inter Access in events and knowledge exchange in this area. In addition, Inter Access will answer client questions and concentrate on client projects and on the implementation of the HPW4D method at client locations.
“Our joining this exclusive programme is a huge boost and expansion of the High-Performance Workplace theme which is already answering tomorrow’s questions. HPW is a concept for physical or virtual environments which are specifically designed to optimally support knowledge and information workers in carrying out non-routine tasks. These tasks focus on discovering, learning, innovating, cooperating and leading people. In addition, the theme provides an actual solution for the still growing group of knowledge workers who strongly depend on fast information supply and easy access to knowledge and expertise within their network for optimal productivity,” says Han Dieperink, Manager Strategy & Business Development at Inter Access.
“By working together with Microsoft in this field and by applying it to ALM, we can further broaden and deepen the methodology and substantially increase its applicability for clients, resulting in even bigger productivity and adaptability.”
